Hi there! My name is Savanah and I am located in New Brighton Pennsylvania at Ready Yourselves Youth Ranch. My personal horse, Scout, had struggled for years with having shoes on his front hooves. Finally with the help of many people we transitioned to barefoot in August of 2021. The first year was super hard and the roughest time during the transition. I was able to get in contact with a wonderful Scoot boot rep to help me with boots and a certified equine nutritionist to help with Scout’s diet. With the help of Dale, I transitioned him to an all forage diet and added key minerals to achieve optimal nutrition for Scout. I had tried several other valuable supplements that he just would not eat no matter how I mixed it in (Vermont Blend, lone Star Trace, KIS Trace). In March of 2022 we started adding Kombat Boots into his diet. He ate it no problem. Now he won’t eat his food without the Kombat Boots in it! Without a doubt this product has tremendously helped Scout with hoof growth and being a better bare footer! I will continue to feed Kombat Boots to my guy and would love to start my colt on it soon! It is super easy to feed since it’s already a pellet! Love the Kombat Boots, and my super picky horse loves it too.

Why I will continue to feed my horses Kombat Boots:
I started feeding Kombat Boots to my horses because it came highly recommended by a very capable and well-known veterinarian. In addition to the benefits to the feet, he said, the yeast is very good to prevent or minimize ulcers in the hindgut.
I can’t see their intestinal linings, but I can brag about the improvement in my mare’s feet. She is 18 years old this year, has been barefoot all her life, and has been plagued with brittle, poor quality white feet that splay and collapse despite regular trims. She has been routinely supplemented with Kombat Boots for just over a year and a half. Now, her trims last the full 6 weeks. Her hoof walls no longer crumble within days. The flares are much reduced, and her angles much improved due to the increased wall strength.

I have a rescue donkey who shed his brillo pad, sun-bleached “coat”, after being on Kombat Boots for a few months. This dry, wiry hair had been on his body for 3 years and I thought he just was unhealthy looking. He is a shiny dark brown now!

It’s one of the few supplements with drastic, visible improvements. (If you don’t see much ordering history, it’s because I’ve converted a few friends and we order together).
I started both my elderly, inactive dog and my 19 year Arab gelding who refused to gain weight on it at the same time. The difference in the both of them was shocking. My horse was on alfalfa am/pm, all he could eat grass hay, 1lb of amplify am/pm, red cell, 3lbs of Special Blend (pelleted grass blend) am/pm, and sta-sound for months and would not gain weight. I put him on Kombat Boots and we ended up on just 2 flakes of grass and 2 cups of Special blend am/pm plus supplements and he had a better topline than ever and wasn’t in consistent work. The amount of money I’ve saved on feed is ridiculous.
My elderly dog went to bouncing around like a puppy after 2 weeks on the supplement. I ran out and didn’t reorder for a bit and two weeks after we ran out she was laying around doing nothing. Got the new order, put her back on, two weeks later bouncing like a puppy again. She has since passed, but I recommend that people try your supplement with their elderly animals before giving up on them. I cannot express enough thanks for having a product that has improved the quality of life for my animals SO much.
In Sept I learned that a horse I had from foal to 3 years who is 17 now was being run through the auction and at risk of slaughter. I rescued him and the first thing I did was put him on Kombat Boots. He was in very rough shape weight wise and had significant muscle wasting. At first glance he didn’t look that bad until you saw the shadows between ribs, the jutting of his shoulder and hip and how big his head looked in comparison to his neck and body (he is an Arab, not a large headed horse). He’s been on Kombat Boots for just about 6 weeks and I can’t wait to see him blossom over the next few months.

I have four sound, robust, barefoot horses, including a twenty-three year old, and a nineteen year old white-footed paint horse that both vet and farrier swore “could never go barefoot.” That particular horse went barefoot without an off step and as soon at the shoes were off, started dropping heel like none of us could have predicted. In October of 2017, our weather in South Florida was still incredibly hot and steamy following a hurricane that had passed through. My horse, an 11 year old Thoroughbred, all but stopped sweating. Owning horses for 30 years but never having been through this situation before, I began doing research on treatment options and speaking with other horse owners/vets. One hour of cold baths at least once daily, dark beer, and the occasional bute helped bring his temperature down, but was no cure. Fortunately, the weather finally broke in late November and we got through the crisis. In the spring of 2018, I started him on One AC. One month of that and still very minimal, if any, moisture from his coat. Next came the series of ACTH shots along with the One AC, no change. Then the prostaglandin shot that was meant to bring him into a good sweat produced next to nothing. Meanwhile, the days were only getting hotter and my hopes more dismal. One of my friends involved with the Thoroughbred industry had just returned home from a couple weeks in Ocala. She informed me that several of the race track trainers were speaking of a product called “Kombat Kool” and thought that might be of help. Figuring there was nothing to lose, I called the company and spoke with the owner, Russ Schider. Russ gave me over an hour of his time explaining the problem of the vitamin/mineral imbalance with anhidrosis in horses, and spoke with great confidence in his product. He also asked how his feet were, to which I answered “ok” even though they were flat and cracked. He explained that Kombat Kool worked synergistically together with Kombat Boots, and suggested I give both products a try. Even though it was now August and we were in dead heat of summer, I started my horse on both products. Within a week, Willie’s withers were moist and there was moisture under his girth area after a ride. He began sweating again through his neck. His feet started improving much to my farrier’s and my delight! He stayed on both products until the end of November. This year, I started Willie on both products in the beginning of April. His feet get better every day and he has a healthy sweat in the morning when I arrive for a ride, as our temperatures are close to 80 degrees now even in the early morning hours. Russ has said this will only continue to improve the longer he is on the product. THANK YOU KOMBAT KOOL for saving my horse!! I still take precaution and ride him early in the mornings but this has been a welcomed relief and product that I am so happy to give an A+!!

Were a MESS! He came to me in October of ’16. Sixteen year old Percheron. Had been in need through last two owners. Two owners prior to me were short termers. Good hearts and desires. But given various circumstances, they were not going to be able to fix the Mouse. And too many lessors by way of owner before them. Too many locations. Too many vets. Too many cursory glances, I fear. For one reason and another, not enough commitment to this wonderful fellow.
In his first year here, he had abscess after abscess after abscess. We soaked his feet more days through that first year than we didn’t! Right through the winter. All four feet were involved. On a seemingly rotating basis.
He has been on Kombat boots for a something better than a year (Russ? Your records should show.) My farrier was skeptical, but hopeful. Before that he’d been on double strength Farrier’s Formula.
Long story short. Mouse gallops every day. His last abscess began brewing on 12-7-17, and cleared in early January. We have been abscess free for the last four months! Astonishing! His feet are slow growing, but we have every hope that the old messy feet will grow out and be beautiful! Right now each foot shows evidence of big ugly abscesses of the past. But. He. Is. Sound!!!!! And galloping every day.

I absolutely love the quick results i have found from kombat boots! My 13 year old gelding who hasn’t grown a hoof in years (they would always crack and split all the way up to the cornet band) is now only one trim away from shoes!!! I am ecstatic. I mean within the first few weeks of him going on them, he was outside running and bucking and playing with the other horses! I am a Certified Equine Nutritionist and trainer who specializes in equine rehabilitation. I work with horses with chronic hoof problems like laminitis, founder, flat soles and thin walls. When I purchased my horse (Mr. Perfect) several years ago I wasn’t aware of his chipped and cracked hooves. To improve the condition of his hooves I used a supplement that I saw at Horse Expo, but there was no change. I turned to my veterinarian who recommended I use (as he does) Kombat Boots.
After several shoeings my farrier noticed much improvement in Buck’s hooves and now I have a horse with healthy and good looking hooves.
In my order I received a flyer outlining the benefits of Kombat Kure joint treatment. I was very excited to receive this because my horse would have occasional swelling in the pastern/fetlock area after riding. The swelling was most prevalent during camping trips when he was confined to a small pen.
Since I’ve begun using this product my horse has had no swelling at home after rides, or while camping; even without daily exercise. I am a firm believer in Kombat Kure and will keep this in his daily diet!
Wish I could take it for my arthritis!
